CNF Investments LLC

Established in 1997, CNF is an affiliate of CEI that actively invests in venture capital and private equity. CNF team members Robert Flanagan and Joseph Del Guercio manage over $125 million in capital with current investments in pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device; communications; financial services; software / technology; oil and gas; and consumer products.

CNF likes early and growth stage companies but will consider investments in any industry except real estate and construction.  CNF prefers to be an active investor providing strategic advice to the outside management teams.  CNF will also take limited partner positions in other private equity, venture capital, buyout funds and direct fund investments.   CNF looks for funds with experienced investment teams and a demonstrated record of success.

CNF conducts thorough and efficient diligence processes but focuses most of its analysis on the potential investment’s management team and other key players.  CNF believes that success is based on the right combination of people, experience, hard work, focus, and execution.

Joe Del Guercio, Principal

Joe Del Guercio is a Principal with CNF Investments. Prior to joining CEI, Joe was at LPL Financial Services, a Boston and San Diego based independent broker dealer, where he was responsible for strategic planning, new product development, and acquisitions. Prior to LPL, Joe was a Senior Associate at Robertson Stephens and a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, private and public equity financings, and restructurings. Joe serves on the Board of Ecutel Systems, Vital Sensors, Verax Biomedical and Innovative Biosensors. Joe is also a Board Observer with Lipomics Technologies Inc. and Overture Technologies. Joe has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. from Boston College.
